Since 1947 Steiner Binoculars have traditionally been geared toward military, law and professional applications.Nowadays, civilians who are interested in professional grade binoculars might do well to give these rugged, time tested binoculars a try. Here are a few examples of Steiner's handiwork.
Peregrine Series The Peregrine series of Steiner binoculars are specially made to assist the bird watcher. They have a revolutionary system of light capture as well as relatively large objective lense sizing to maximize detail and sharpness. The objective lenses on these binoculars are larger than the overall appearance would suggest with objective lens sizes of 32mm 43mm 50mm. Magnifications are available in 8x and 10x and 12.5x.
Wildlife Pro Series These award winning compact roof prism optics, are some of the most powerful and durable compact binoculars around with a naturally colored rubber armoring. They can be had in 12x30 format which is surprisingly powerful for such a compact pair of binocular. Not a whole lot of light grasp but, great for daytime in the great outdoors.
Nighthunter XP Series The Nighthunter Xp series from Steiner do exactly as the name suggests, with 50mm to 56mm objective lenses these have excellent light grasp and do very well in low light conditions. They are also completely waterproof and feature an automatic focus. The Nighthunter XP models also have an excellent field of view around 315ft at 1000 yards. These light conserving porro prism binoculars have magnifications available in 10x or 12x.
Steiner Military Series This is what Steiner is best known for, Military optics. There is a great deal of variety to be had here with magnifications ranging available in 7x, 8x 10x 15x and 20x and objective lenses of 30mm, 42mm, 50mm, 80mm in diameter and, they all have one thing in common: these are built to military specification and as rugged as you would expect.
