The DCF SP from pentax binoculars are a great all around mid-size binocular,They are available with the magnifications of 8x 10x and 12.5x paired with, respectively objective lens sizes of 43mm 50mm and 50mm, These are nitrogen filled making them completely waterproof and fogproof. These are multi coated and have exceptional close focusing ablity

Pentax Papilio

The Papilio Series from pentax binoculars is designed for the purpose of close focus. The lens positions adjust themselves when you need to focus on an object that is very close. The innovative series allows you to focus on a object that is only 18 inches away, this is really like having a both a magnifying glass and a pair of binoculars all-in-one. The magnification rating on these is 8.5x or 6.5x and objective lens diameter is 21mm making them very compact and easy to carry.

Pentax UCF Zoom II

This model of sports optic is designed to combine a powerful zooming capability with a relatively small size. The zoom IIs have the high quality BAK-4 Prisms, multi coated optics. These zoom from 8x to 16x with an objective lens size of 21mm. These are great for any fairly well lit situation when you need both portability and a relatively high magnification.

Pentax XCF Series

The Pentax XCF Series are an old school large diameter Porro Prism design with objective lens sizes of either 40mm or 50mm along with BAK-4 prisms these will do very well in low light situations, also the larger lenses will preserve image quality and detail when the magnifications are high. The XCF series comes with magnification as high as 16x, so the larger secure size might help to keep your hands steady.
